Is there a reason why there are so many artists on this one scene.

was talking to dragonhunter about it and he guesses this was Hashimoto's scene originally. However, from what he read, Hashimoto and Miyazaki didn't get along well on this movie, though he doesn't remember the source and how accurate it is.

IMO that would explain a lot if true.

The movement through the battleship is amazing and demonstrates Otonari's absurdly high abilities to handle movement in space as well as volume

Btw, good reference to Captain Harlock

Damn bro thats some great Compositing
So who did the first part?
my personal favorite cut from this film
Insane cut, accurate choreography of a dude with a prosthetic leg doing parkour with crazy camera angles is mind-bending. The attention to detail makes this one of the most impressive cuts I've seen so far this decade

I remember reading that Kazuya Tsurumaki trained Yoshinari and made his animation take a more spectacular approach. Even here he is seen using some very dirty close-up smears that he hasn't used before
I love his animation so much.
The grounded camera shake photography in this scene and others later on benefited his early 2000s animation so much

THIS IS SO COOL. Also probably a very literal use of the fabric tag.

How is this the only Smiling Friends post here?
Most likely no one bothered to do it yet. And nothing is stopping you from uploading tbh. (Not you specifically, but it can get tiring to see comments like this)
No you're fine, I understand. I was just wondering.

Is she trying to make Atomsk jealous in this cut or Naota? Both?
