Kazuki Kawata was added on the credits as KA for BD version, and this scene got massively corrected from 00:16 - 00:22, completly redone FXs, Background animation, characters etc. Could be Kawata complete retakes, so added the presumed tag.

This looks like layout and rough key animation. It would’ve been redrawn for final genga, received animation director and character designer corrections, then inbetweening, cleanup and finish animation. Timing could have been adjusted too

Same! And it ain't even in the Manga. Plus, the fact it is in the same episode with an amazing lengthy fight sequence (one of the best of this year arguably) and so much more character acting. It is awesome. I knew Yoshihara was bringing the heat when directing, but I love how this turned out.
Obviously Shinya Ito did an incredible job with this but more credit needs to be given to the Douga artists cause the Inbetweening in this scene is damn near flawless.
I love Q Kawa's work, but this is looking really bad. Every character (including the dragon) switches between 5 different models every scene and the compositing is dogwater (if there is any compositing done at all)...there is some serious production issue going on
