I was under the impression that all of Legend of Black Heaven's OP was done by Shinji Hashimoto.

Hashimoto was in charge of the intro and did draw several cuts, but Hamasu worked on this particular cut. Atleast according to the sakuga@wiki: http://www18.atwiki.jp/sakuga/pages/67.html

Fujio Suzuki was in charge of 120 cuts at the start of episode 1 of this show.

R.I.H (rest in hospital)

Now that's a treat. Thanks for putting my mind at ease after all these years of wondering who keyed this sequence.

I just deducted it from the poses, angles, shading and effects. The bit with the villains was a giveaway to be honest.

Ah, yes, the great fight scene made infamous by the gunfire error emanating from the artillery-less Epyon (the red mecha). Does that go on Goto or the storyboarder, Yasunao Aoki?
What actually happened off screen is that Epyon caught all the bullets Wing Zero fired with its bare hands, and threw them back at lightning speed. You just have to use your imagination! :)

Also has Aninari, the short Motoko cut should be him at least. And goddamn PS1 game assets, so much cool animation we can't properly appreciate.
