I haven't watched the series, but the black and white portion makes even me feel cathartic. Very, VERY well done.
This is great. Nagata showing more talents with the thick brushstroke lines.
Definitely one of my all- time favorite animated sequences now. Nagats's sequences just get more and more insane. Absolute god.
Not sure if it's because there aren't any large, multilayer shaded debris or sth else but it feels kind of simplified for some reason. Not as "busy" as some of his other stuff from the past year. Wonder if it had to do with the production problems. Still kino tho

It could’ve been a creative decision, this whole scene looks more stylized than most of his other stuff. It still could’ve been production problems but it seems intentional to me.
We'll find out in the BDs if it was intentional or not methinks
