Yoshihara uses CGI in his animation as well. A bunch of his work in Black Clover has either CG backgrounds or effects animation

Yusuke Takeda is the art director for this PV (and will be for the TV serie too)

This looks amazing. If this is the team thats gonna animate the actual show, then I'm so hyped. This team is stacked as hell.

Tanaka's cuts really look great. Hope they give this one plenty of time so the animators can craft something amazing.

Wasn't one of JJK's criticism was that its compositing couldn't keep up with the animation? Since this is the same guy, you can pretty much tell he probably learned from his mistakes and improved greatly for CSM.

Is it really the same DOP? I understand he was probably on a stricter schedule but to improve this much after just one project is insane. Or were his other works similarly high quality?

he was the dop of Kakegurui which heard was good at best. jjk in the end had its small internal issues because of mappa doing too much stuff at the same time like god of high school.

I've seen dozens of people thinking the same, and while the lightning over it kinda gives that impression, I'm pretty sure it isn't.

I mean, it wouldn't even be in this upload if the uploader and/or the mods thought it was CG as it's the only thing that movies in the cut.

JJK had it's good moments with compositing too. Episode 1,2 and 3 were good, 9 and 13 were amazing. 7, 10, 11, 17 is really where it took a nose-dive to horrible levels of compositing, especially noticeable with 17 because the animation for that episode is fantastic. If they're doing here whatever they did to make ep 9 look that good then it's totally possible for chainsaw man to have great compositing.

Even with all mappa's problems, this will be a fortunate production (for one's happines and another's sadness).
Too many good artists working on only one show will be something really good to watch. I just hope the compositing team to be really, really different from what we're used to follow.

If I had to guess, the only parts that will probably actually be in the show would be the fast cuts at 0:28-29, the fox devil breaking through the building at 0:34, and spinning cut of denji at 0:44. Along with that I'm also guessing 0:31-34, and 0:35-40 will be in the opening.
