Bruh, Beast Titan cgi looks weird af, especially the fur on him

Don't get some of you guys, the CG isn't bad at all.
If anything this can even save time which is hella important considering the schedule of this series.

It's not nearly as good as the 2d we've gotten for the past 3 Seasons. So what's not to get about not liking a downgrade?

Because you're comparing apples to oranges. Sure, you can prefer 2d to 3d, that's fine (I personally agree), but to compare this 3d to the 2d as equal is unfair, as they are completely different types of animation. The only comparison to be made is between the 3d of this season and the first 3 seasons, in which case this is certainly not a downgrade.

I can understand where it might come from, but c’mon it’s not that horrific.
I’m not personally a SNK fan but the CGI doesn’t look that bad, instead I would hope for the rest of the episodes to look good

First of all the amount of animation they have to work on in so little time for a studio that has never work on the project is insane. The committee pushing a 2020 release for AoT is stupid. One of the ways they can save time is to do CG titan. It makes sure that all the titans will be on model for the rest of the season and the 2D animators can work on other stuff. Instead of doing 2D titans and completely melt the production in the middle of the season.
