I don't think they have even decided which studio will be taking aot yet, so don't hope for much.

Most likely it would go for I.G Production, i'm pretty sure they won't give away AoT's rights that easily...
Honestly the studio doesn't matter as long as the core staff are still intact...
Fingers crossed, lets just stay optimistic for now :)

Isn't the production comittee the one who holds the rights?

Well yes and no, from what I know usually multiple committees hold the right for a certain anime, going by the sources, it is probably Pony Canyon as the main producer (Kodansha too probably), but then again Production I.G are both a studio and a producer (company shares maybe :p)
But going by that logic, it means the studio can even be Kyoto Animation, Shaft, ArtLand or Mad House...
But no... Production I.G will most likely take the production over, or help Wit Studio with the in-house staff :)
All of those comments aged poorly

Lol rip, it aged like milk...

Well, the info itself is mostly accurate I guess. It was just too naive of me to think that AoT's committee will stop being full of shitheads any time soon...
