Nikaido animated Kale slamming Goku around too so I guess that's his specialty now, lol.

Funny how at :44 the charging attack looks a little snappy

It's really easy to forget that a lot of the lesser-named animators also did large sections for the film in the sea of praise for the aces like Oonishi and Shida. This and Manabe's scene are their best work yet.

Nikaido's best work in the series by a large margin.

I really hope I can find original genga for this because I think that the corrections masked some of the movement. Still a great scene, though. Easily Nikaido's best work, with a lot of snappy timing and really nice effects work and zooms. I just wished nikaido wasn't as corrected.

Maybe some work in the minus sections? He was pretty high up in the credits if I remember correctly.

When I saw this in theaters my brother and I cracked up at the part where Broly smashes Goku’s face against the ice!

This is one of Nikaido's best. Unfortunately, he had the work on the scene directly AFTER Onishi's cut. So, that makes things here extremely distraction. And Goku's "Godsengan" (Get it? God Ransengan? Sorry...) is also kind of meh and distracting. The scene itself is good. But again, the problem stems from the fact that it came directly after Onishi. Hence, making the art seem kind of all over the place here.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Takahashi correct some things here, or is that just plain false?

Oh, Takahashi corrected just about everything here. Nikaido is not this detailed of an artist, and this is peak Takahashi
