The character animation in this short is absolutely phenomenal. Better than even any of the stuff we got in Witch's Flower

I got to see this at the Animation Is Film Festival last year. Afterwards during the Q&A, I asked producer Yoshiaki Nishimura how this short looked so good. He explained that Akihiko Yamashita, the director storyboarder and character designer, had key animated 80-90% of the short by himself.

Not sure if we should add him into these posts under "presumed" but either way it's a herculean effort by him.

He's not tagged because Shinji Hashimoto is also credited. The short only had 4 animators iirc but nothing to say for sure which scenes were done by those two. Hopefully they release a book as more of these shorts come out.
