Wow this is really good! If there's one thing I love about the newer episodes, it's the visuals.

Oh definitely. Newer episodes are very expressive. I'll never understand why people hate them so much. While it's a HUGE downgrade from older stuff, it's still great in its own right.

I've seen quite a lot of people say the animators draw the funny faces solely for meme purposes and how they don't fit SpongeBob. Even if I'm not much of a fan of them, I would be lying if I said they are badly drawn or poorly animated.

I'd say in a way it's done to market Spongebob, but it is on a kids network. It was made to sell. Even so, it's full of life. I can tell the animators and artists put effort into every frame and it really shows. Glad you can appreciate that.

SpongeBob has always been cartoony, just not necessarily to the degree we see nowadays. Also, the facial expressions have always been one of the best parts of this series, even way back when.
