He also worked with Richard Williams. Also, it's not that hard to animate consistently with the right tools.
There is digital onion-skinning for animation programs, and most animation tables are lights underneath so the other drawings can be seen.

It goes without saying that onion skinning is essential to animation majority of the time. In no way does that affect how inhumanly consistent and smooth this cut is. Anyone can animate using onion skin but holy cow I haven't seen many things close to this in terms of skill.

Fair enough. The info on onion skinning and animation desk lights was sort of unnecessary in retrospect, especially since this is obviously drawn on paper.
