I wish Yoshinari and Imashi worked on Kill La Kill more. Sorry for being bias and all but I feel like more time and effort went into Little Witch Academia (Not that I have an issue with that casue I like LWA)

They are different types of production. LWA is OVA, so of course it's more richly animated and polished.
Imaishi directed Kill la Kill, I don't think you can wish he worked more on it, it's basically his own show.

I think they're referring to the LWA TV series. They are still of course different productions with different priorities though.

I get that he was the director but I wish him and Yoshinari did more KA for the show. More combat scenes especially. The finale felt...I mean I don't wanna say disappointed with it overall. The combat portion of the finale was a let down.
^Dude, I know how you feel - 'cept I felt that way about the entirety of Kill la Kill.
I forgot that melee combat was never Gainax/Trigger's strong point, so my hype was misplaced. Everything else was dope, though. :)

Can't agree then, I think it's other way around.

I guess that's the beauty of art. Some people will appreciate Imaishi's approach more than Yoshinari's and other people will have the opposite reaction. I think both series have different strengths. Not sure I could pick a favorite personally, but I did enjoy the production of LWA a little more than KLK. Imaishi doesn't really prioritize motion in the way Yoshinari does.

Yes, but aside from me loving Imaishi's stuff more.
I think LWA TV suffered form more outsoursed lackluster episodes and absence of Yuji Kaneko.
I wanna say KLK had more different and interesting artists working on it (like Otsuka, Umakoshi, Maeda etc.), but LWA also had great some staff, so maybe they even.
But I think in LWA case they were more spread out, maybe just because in KLK case it were people I'm more familiar with.

I actually noticed that a lot of the parts in LWA TV that would've at least had some creative storyboarding and artwork in KLK were just bad animation. Felt like it was directed to be well-animated but the actual animators themselves weren't able to keep up as well as the veterans of trigger.
