Yeah I noticed. If you play the file directly in its own tab, the video plays at its correct aspect ratio. I think it's because the NC OPs are DVD rips...?

I know someone uploaded the 720p CR rips to NeoArkCradle as well, maybe try those instead?

it's not black bars. post #19981 has black bars. this is anamorphic. yes, it's because it's from a dvd. 720x480 is max video dimension that can be stored on NTSC dvd. the site grabs the storage dimensions from the video but ignores the aspect ratio, embedding it in a 720x480 frame. So what you're really seeing is a 853x480 (display dimensions) video downscaled to 720x405, with empty space making up the difference in height.
