Which do people think is better? This or https://sakugabooru.com/post/show/33192.

Slightly prefer the build up to the collision in this version.

i like the explosion of DIO in this one more. we actually see his body react and go up in the air before exploding, whereas in the OVA it goes from him exploding to already being down on the ground.
Gotta disagree. The timing in this one is super uninspired. On the part where Dio falls on the ground, it's hard to tell whether they intended slow-motion or if they just suck at physics. They seriously did the thing where they show the same punch from 3 different angles, and they managed to make it boring as hell from all 3. And this is not really about the animation, but there's way too much going on with all the glowing effects. It's got the whole ugly over-post-processed 2010s aesthetic that can't compete with the almost austere simplicity of the 90s version. I've always thought that real lith effects from the cel era somehow look better than their digital equivalents.

i partially disagree about the glowing effects. the over-abundance of them fits jojo better than the realistic and more simple tones of the old OVA. the OVA is great animation, but the anime is a great adaptation.
On its own this sequence works just fine. It is underwhelming considering that there were 48 episodes leading up to this. Definitely prefer the OVA version of this ending more.
