I think the OVA works better as an animation showcase.
The TV version cropped the original 4:3 footage from the OVA into 16:9 and the OVA doesn't have that invasive post-processing on the smoke they added to the TV version.

I actually was wondering which versions I should upload for this post and post #25466 due to the smoke post-processing, but in the end decided for the 16:9 as the rest of the uploads. I don't mind uploading the OVA's versions, tho. I already have the mp4s

i agree with khwan, all the OVA footage in the TV ver. doesn't really work better. at least for the first two OVAs, they should have been uploaded in their original footage. the post-processing distorts the shapes of the effects a bit too
