Sweat lord in heaven above
why this has some shida feel to it or they always had some similarity and i was blind
they both animate on 1s a lot but that is basically the only similarity between their styles
i had to repeat this scene all over again while watching the episode. so good!! her little shoulder dance so cute !
Love the facial expressions. And Rouge's mouth movements remind me of Suzuki's scene from Soul Eater Ep. 1
Some very cartoony animation here. Great work by Suzuki.

All of Suzuki's work is referenced from live action

How do you know that, and does that apply to all of his work? Just curious.
due to personal connections, friend of a friend type of thing

Im not sure if he wants people to know specific things he's referenced but he's fond of superhero movies you can find some very closely referenced explosions and effects animation in those

some quirky walk cycles of his are inspired by commercials, music videos etc.

in general he's very good at reproducing whatever he's looking at, while at the same time, altering it just enough to fit the "feel" that the animated medium is accustomed to

(also to clarify, Im sure there is some of his work that isn't referenced, but like most good animators, he does use it a lot)
0.34-end is really good but I wish she wasn't so blurred. Or is that what makes it good? idk
