it's incredible that fujimoto did all this by himself, I thought this scene was made by at least 3 animators when I saw it for the first time
That sense of depth during Fern’s walk cycle is absolutely mesmerizing. I’m still in awe that Fujimoto was the solo KA for entire cuts like this.

There's most likely a ton of scattered 2nd KA here which is partly responsible for the style switching.

I could be wrong but it seems highly unlikely that he did his own genga for every cut, both from what my eyes tell me and also that's sort of just a consequence of being 25 episodes deep as the shows pseudo-main action animator.
