If that's the case, wouldn't it be fair to assume one of them did the A part of the episode and the other the B part of the episode (At least supposing the credits are in order)?

Not necessarily, credits can get rather fucky sometimes. You'll have episodes where it's listed on how many cuts an animator did (which can vary, and the credits themselves don't make it clear how many cuts an animator did, obviously). Sometimes it's who did the biggest scenes the episode had, ala fights or dramatic/comedic character moments. Yet other times, it's not in any particular order at all, so you're left guessing who did what.
