this is some of the best cg ive seen in anime period
I know it's nitpicky but despite the great CGI, titans this big shouldn't be able to move that fast, kinda makes it look silly. Hopefully the CGI team is free to work on Dorohedoro now that the series is over.

I think that might be due to the animators (or director) insisting the animation itself move like the 2D characters, and the frame-skipping does hurt it. But this is a problem that extends to way too many projects even in Hollywood-helmed efforts that don't frame skip (The Michael Bay Transformers movies, anyone?)

Honestly, I think the real issue here (outside of schedule and possibly direction) is that CGI still has a fairly hard time when it comes to handling the weight of giant objects as opposed to smaller ones. Granted, this is just one man's opinion.

Great response. I also think that having the scene as one straight uninterrupted cut makes it a lot more hectic. I think more cuts in between would've slowed the movement down to make it weightier.
