My only complaint with this cut is the way her body lands at the very end. Its way too quick and painless for how intense the attack is shown to be. Not sure if that falls on Torii or the way the background settles to a stop.

Torii's part is most likely just the kick here. Torii doesn't generally have little to no weight to characters in his cuts so i don't think he animated the last cut here since it is a tad clumsy but i agree with your assessment.
