I do not know. Sota Kinoshita was very similar to Hiroyuki Yamashita and Fujii takes after Yamashita a lot so it makes since if this is Fujii

Haven’t watched the episode, but imo it would be some insane channeling considering that Fujii’s last few confirmed outings on the series, even under Hiroyama’s AD, didn’t completely resemble Yamashita’s effects either. I think the two cuts Geth outlined are HiroYama redraws, regardless of whether Fujii handled the original scenes (which he may have), considering how close they are to his AD works on The Last, and the fabric on the cape being too idiosyncratic to anyone else on the genga list.

@Zoro did you confirm this is Toshiro Fujii's work? I noticed you tagged Fujii, removed the artist_unknown tag and didn't put presumed

the "presumed" tag on a post means that the animator tags are just a guess. If you don't put it, it means the tags are 100% correct, and confirmed through an avenue such as speaking to a staff member, or an official account confirming it, etc.

Also, we only tag guesses when it's highly certain the artist was in charge, like >80%. Otherwise it spreads as misinformation.

I agree there is a chance Toshiro Fujii's work is here, but it's not certain enough to be tagged. He also said on his twitter that he only helped with a little bit, so I'm doubtful he did 38+ seconds of animation.

In any case, I'll ask someone else about Fujii. This is the first time I've put an animator tag and forgot to add "artist_unknown".

I also think it was a mistake to remove scenes from the beginning of the Battle of the Cubes on the day the episode was released. The animation was pretty good
