Ever since I learned about animators using real light to achieve effects like this (which looks to be the case here), it not only made me look at visual effects (if not the whole animation process) differently, but it also gave me a much deeper appreciation of the artistry that went into cel-based animation productions.

The light play here is the real highlight!
