supposedly the ED was slowed down in a bunch of versions of the game, including the original release (which played the ED at 15fps) and a couple of the re-releases. Sonic Jam and Mega Collection had the OP and ED played at the same speed as the Sonic Origins release: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YS12MB9Kd4s
