Love these types of uploads.
After comparing it with the parent post it just occured to me that both the kunai in this frame is the same kunai, so it's basically an elaborate multiple-type smear. Love it.
I think he pulls a second knife out to cut the tag off so he can stick it to the guy. It's so fast that its hard to tell

Though also interesting to note that the pattern on the seal is removed in the final. I wonder if it was too much trouble for the douga artist or if after they did the work, Yamashita decided it looked cleaner without it.
Sorry, my bad!
It just looked like in the animation that the one he holds in his left hand dissapears (when he lowers the hand again), so I assumed it was the same one. Nice spot!

I'd generally think it would be to lessen the workload.
Although it's been years since I watched Naruto, I also think that the explosive tags tend to have an adhesive on their back to be stuck onto things (like he sticks it onto the guy in the next cut), so it's maybe the "adhesive" side?

It’s removed because it’s the underside of the seal and it’s supposed to be blank. So it was a mistake in the genga.
Was Yamashita AD for this streak?
