Beautiful work Q
Debatably The highlight of the episode

idk why the cgi tag was removed by Bakamania from the original post, but there seems to be very obvious CGI debris mixed with the hand-drawn ones in the first cut, especially obvious before the smoke disperses as the opacity of the smoke only affects the hand-drawn debris.
Because it's stock footage of ceramic debris from Video Copilot, which while 3 dimensional, is not the work of CG staff and comes from the compositing.
I'd rather have the CG tag used for actual CG work from the staff rather than smaller compositing details that isn't theirs, otherwise a crazy amount of posts that use realistic elements in its comp would have to be edited

gotcha thanks, are there any visual distinguishment between the two, or does the specific process have to be made explicitly known before it can be identified as either compositing or cg?
