One of the most beautiful cuts in anime history.

I would love to know how this was done. Did they use a model as reference? Real aerial footage? Was it xeroxed or painstakingly traced with a pencil? There's just so many buildings and the perspective is so perfect. I wonder if there's a making-of for this film anywhere...
