The Vandel, Vaus, proclaims to Beet that he will "stop being a Vandel", and then shoots himself which triggers his transformation (seen in following posts)... for some reason.

This is heavily edited down from Shida's full scene which runs for just over two minutes. It's full of uncorrected drawings by him.
