Masayuki probably did the cuts from inside the space ship (and maybe some other cuts towards the end?). This is based on things I remember from Yuji Moriyama's commentary track but don't take it as a confirmation.

0:46 one of the missiles is a can of Pepsi. I think that's an in-joke thrown in by Shoichi Masuo, who previously worked on a similar scene in the 1984 Macross movie, where one of the missiles is a can of Budweiser.

you mean https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/26295 ? that's fumio iida(飯田史雄)'s work, according to itano's interview on anime style(quoting sakuga wiki). but this sequence should be masuo's work anyway judging from multiple all-white frames used after explosions and round shape of impact frame lighting & smokes.
