Does this anime have a similar process to WIT's make-up on attack on titan and kabenari? The way everything is detailed makes it look like it does.

It does, the third cut here being a clear example. In their case they haven't talked specifics yet but it goes by the name of Character Retouch and it's outsourced to studio Capsule as opposed to WIT's more organic in-house deployment.
