I don't know, in Pappy's Puppy, which Chiniquy solo animated, Sylvester was drawn in both ways.
That might mean Bob Matz was only his assistant in 1955.
UNLESS, he was uncredited the whole time, just like Warren Batchelder, Dick Thompson and Tolly Kirsanoff.
