Holyyyyy!!!!!!! One of his best cuts EVER
Favorite cut of the episode, I love Kojima so much. Glad he was completely untouched
This is Takashi Kojima in his purest form, and it is absolutely magnificent. He seriously went all out.
kojima
certainly.is among the very utmost best animators

mindblowing animation,mindblowing art style

edit:overall, wano's got unbelievable run ,literally a sakuga show
I'm honestly speechless, this was utterly fantastic in every single sense, what an amazing animator.
am i the only one who did not like this animation of kojima , believe me , i love every cut of his before this fight but this fight was not best work of kojima

Yes, you're the only one. One has to be blind or delusional not to see that this is some of best work Kojima has ever produced. The character acting, the run, the slide, the effects, everything is top notch.
Wano doesn't keep MISSING. Holy fuck Kojima.
It's an amazing sequence (remember guys, a cut is a single shot before the camera moves, a series of cuts in continuity is a sequence). 9/10 the actual impact of the attack leaves a bit to be desired.

He just cuts through Kaido like soup and the anime feels as if it delays before going "oh, wait, yeah! That was supposed to be impactful!!" so it splays a bunch of impact frames and kanji. Like the shot wants to be super fluid and also have the impact that shows with a lower framerate would have. It feels as if it wants it cake and to eat it too.

Now this is entirely on purpose so it's more-so just something that bugs me more than a faux pas. This shot is stunning from beginning to end, it reminds me of Onishi's work on Stampede in terms of how compact yet powerful it all is
i just love the storyboards for this ep . everything is just pefect .
and the best part of this scene ? the ost .
i got goosebumps on my balls when i heard the very very strongest playing .
Holy crap, wtf ?? This is Godlike.
Oden coating his arms in Armament is slightly reused from his cut in OP 23, but some stuff was added to it so it's not full on reuse
This might be Takashi Kojima's best cut in One Piece so far!
Leave it to Kojima to bring the hype. That cut of Oden sliding along Kaido is so cool.
This is a top-notch stuff!

You're right, kojima did a fantastic job, but ... the impact of the cut to kaido was not felt too much

Just say that you can't follow the speed at wich it goes. The animation itself is insane ...

To be totally fair, I found that abrupt cut at 1:24 to be kind of annoying, but it might just be me
KOJIMA YOU BEAST!!!!!!!!!
