https://w.atwiki.jp/sakuga/pages/52.html Iso did the entire opening of this ep before the credits.

Honestly its 3+ minutes again and i had to break it up. Monster work by Iso
greatly appreciate all the gosenzo cuts you've uploaded. grown to be one of my favorite series, visually especially, and it's fantastic to get to know more about who's responsible for what.

iso astonishes once again

Does this mean this scene:

was also done by him and not Shinji Hashimoto?

Most likely yeah. I dont know where that Shinji Hashimoto tag comes from. It may look kinda "rough" detail wise for Iso but like Oshii said in an interview by episode 6 production didnt have enough time and the was kinda all over the place. Maybe its Iso doing the rough key frames with the AD (Utsunomiya) or assistant AD (Kouichi Hashimoto) finishing up some of the art. Gonna upload a complete cut of this today to replace that old post and tag Iso

Nah its one of my favorites too and extremely important in the development of Japanese animation and industry (arguably as much as Akira) so it deserves as much of a recognition and attention as it can get

Very interesting. Have anything you could point me to that discusses its influence? Would love to read about it.
