it's sad because the stans on twitter keep making screenshots of his(her) frames on tt and saying that is bad animation...

Yeah, I've seen a lot of comments pointing out his supposingly "bad drawing"; And in fact who can blame them. It's rare to see animators taking so much freedom and go this wild, especially in Haikyuu. I can understand why it can feel disapoiting to some fans. Now, even if we all have our own sensibilites, I hope those people can come back to it one day, and realise how unique, controled, deep and fun this is.

Indeed. It kind of reminds me of the unjust hate Yusuke Kawakami's Black Clover episode 63 cut got, or generally that episode as a whole, the amount ridiculous and just completely off-point criticism is uncalled for, especially from people that clearly aren't experienced about animation...
because they don't have a keen eye for animation or a good sense of style
and
I don't mean that in an elite way or that we here are special

there are people who are better/good at appreciation of music, different sports, etc

-I know it's frustrating but I think we all are in that situations, for example you will find people around you, family, friends, etc
who can't just see what you see in animation, and it's the same in different domains

that's why I'm really grateful for this community because it gathered people who CAN SEE IT and have the same hoppy as me

actually even among anime fan ,a small percentage get the sakuga beauty
I think we are here because we got those neurons that are turned on by sakuga and starts secreting pheromones that makes us all high and excited

100% agree with everything you said. I just wish more people tried at least learning basic things about animation, or really any niche subject at that, criticism can be a lot more interesting when the person is actually experienced about the subject, because sometimes getting criticized by someone that is clueless could lead to misinformation and sometimes even ruining someone's career over it...

Actually, I was myself very ignorant about animation when I was younger despite being a rising artist, but I had a friend that worked as a key-animator and in-betweener for a small outsourcing studio in Japan that I had the chance to visit because of him... That experience was life changing, learning all about the pipeline and how the final product is made gave me passion that encouraged me even more to learn animation, learn about directors, storyboarders and animators of my favorite Anime. by that time I started getting involved with many Sakuga forums, which by chance I found one of the posts of Sakugablog through them, that in the end lead me here.

My point is, lack of understanding something on a deeper level due to a lack of interest is totally fine, but total ignorance is not a good habit, I learned that the hard way... Sometimes it takes giving just a little chance to learning something new with an open-mind to change your view completely, or at least correct misconceptions.

But like you said, it doesn't really make anyone special or such, we are just a bunch of commrades that get off of smears, impact frames and smooth as butter 2D animation and effect work, presumably out of passion which is a good thing looking at how fun and respectful most the sakuga community is, greatness either way.

Thanks for listening to my presidential speech good sir, hope I didn't sound like a poopoo lad. Imma skedaddle to dinner real quick, I wish you a wonderful day mate.

They think "off-model frame = bad animation" as opposed to "good motion = good animation". I think it's noticeable for them since they're used to seeing stuff in 60 fps
