almost 4 years agoI am still waiting for Chao Zhang to get a chance to shine. These cuts he has been handed so far didn't showcase his abbility at all.

Like zhang have mad talent. But it's almost like, they are like. "Hey we need a quick animation for the fight scene, hey zhang can you do it quickly, just quick animationjust to fill it more ? Thanks bud" Like that's an oversimplication from me, but you get it ...
Please give Zhang a real chance to shine ...

almost 4 years agoHowever his situation isn't even remotely comparable to Chao Zhang. Adapting to the key-frame system is more challenging than it seems, he would have to re-think his approach because in commercial anime like SAO there are more strict drawing counts due to the industry's reliance on douga and of course the animation director would need to correct more frames so it's not the same as it would be for personal projects/twitter doodles or series with no drawing limitations
