Tbh, I didn't like that final cut in XY's Ash vs Korrina match, it's VERY well animated, yeah, but the transition between the sphere clash and the final TB felt really awkward, and considering how the sphere clash was shown in a trailer a long while before this episode aired, I wonder if it was done separately from the second half of the cut

XY had some effective but also seriously ugly use of 3D backgrounds. Sun and Moon's Kanto episode and final Exhibition match are so far ahead of anything from XYZ or Journeys thus far.

This was low-key disappointing to me, the directory is really neat but the character seem to lack form and the perspective was off, I also kinda miss Ohashi qwq

I don't know about you, but 3d backgrounds in XY made Pokemon so much better to me, it adds a lot of dynamic to the movements.
