I am generally pretty open-minded about CG in anime, but man...the CG in this film is so upsetting to me. I just don't understand what compelled the idea to make it look like this, especially when paired with Onishi's clean and bouncy animation. Onishi goes crazy in this film but I really struggle to enjoy watching it because I just get distracted by this ugly thing covered in super CG smoke that looks so different to everything else in the film.
