So this is the final BD version upload in all its glory, the original TV broadcast was ghosted and the previous version to this was from a weaker DVD encode which I wasn't too fond of but served its purpose of removing the ghosting in the meantime.

I understand that Boruto wants to balance out its animation quality so that there aren't any dramatic quality spikes. While we absolutely get some epic shit every now and then, for almost 2 years there hasn't been a single other episode like this one. There hasn't been another episode with 14 minutes of spectacular, mind blowing, and jaw dropping animation! This scene in particular is God-like and fills me with life every time I watch it!
We probably need to wait a major arc climax fight for it to happen i think. But at least there is still some good episode now and then.

That's mainly because there hasn't been any major fight like this one ever since to put this many resources into it. It's been mostly filler, which was not bad, most of it was decent, but they had to do it otherwise they would have caught up with the manga a long time ago. Anyway they said that the next canon manga arc is going to start soon so maybe it will happen.

A year later your prayers seem to be answered in Boruto 189.
Idk why I did not comment here before, always will be one of the best entries
this new sakuga extended feature showing the animator underneath the clips and being able to use time stamps is so convenient! Thank you Loic!
legendary sequence. industry revolutionizing too
The animation is truly incredible, of course, but the storyboard is fantastic as well. It's amazing how well the action flows between shots, it almost feels seamless at points...
You know, they really could have just gone down the movie-to-tv route that Dragon Ball Super and Demon Slayer did but instead, they re-made whole fight. That's honestly really great to me.
