Watching this movie makes me wish they stuck with these character designs for the modern Yu-Gi-Oh series instead of the ones they're currently using. They remind of modern Dragon ball's new characters where they look super edgy and complex, but in reality look ugly and silly.

Don't really have any problems with their current designs it's is a kids show after all so the silly hairstyles and bright colours attract kids to the shows. Only change I want from the designs is to have them be more animation friendly like Sun & Moon.

I think it would be awesome if they did adopt Sun & Moon's artstyle. Not only does it make it easier for animators, but it also just looks prettier than the one they currently have. The only problem is that people would not take to kindly to those new designs and would complain about it even more than Pokémon fans do.
