Also, I think I saw Tomita all over the second half of the episode, so not only the man himself is back, but also his amazing working speed.

He basically animated the entire end of the flashback,his timing is still exceptional and I love his character acting!

I wouldn't be surprised! He used to animate action scenes every 3-4 episodes back in Whole Cake and some of them were even more than a minute long. The One Piece team is pretty strong right now <3

Kohei Kureta one of the current three series directors storyboarded and directed this episode. His most famous works are episode 870 and One Piece Film Z (only storyboard for this one since Nagamine the current main series director for One Piece directed it).
