All Wonderful Comments are GONE Again 。。。
Regret not snapshotting So MUCH。。。

A Damn BUG & Pity for the website。。。
I hope he comes back for season 3. But then again I see that BONES has a ton of projects in the works. Worries me dearly. But I'm grateful for what we got here and the work he's done up till now.

Did he now? Is there any source you can point me too perhaps? I think I know what you're talking about, though, I just can't tell because Japanese is really hard to translate.

I only snapshotted back when my comment was the most recent, but some of the exhibit is preserved. :P
I wonder if you can access the old comments by visiting some old, unlisted URL.

uh... Fabric, no?
Added the tag. Don't know why it wasn't there before.
I especially like Deku's expression at 0:24, was it corrected by Umakoshi?
So many parts of this scene are animated on ones, even when they absolutely don't need to be. Yutaka Nakamura really does go above and beyond.

Have you heard of Wayback Machine?
Yutapon said that some of the character and "body balance" (?) in the L/O stage were corrected by Umakoshi, and that one of the cuts of Todoroki's hand "sparkling" was a reference to one of Kutsuna's scene from Tetsuwan Birdy Decode.

Tbh I believe this scene to be nakamura's best ever. Not In terms of how much stuff he's showing off, animation wise. Like some of his other cuts that are littered with BG animation, amazing character acting, ect. But the simplicity of the movements in this cut, and the perfect flow of his ideas and direction here, Is really the best he's ever done. And its mainly due to how well this cut flows with the story of the show, and how the buildup and tension get released in this insanely bombastic cut.

That scene when Todoroki moves his hand and creates what is essentially a jet turbine after using his fire-side for the first time, melting all of the ice in the arena, its unreal and still lives in my head every time I think of nakamura's animation. I'll bet that this scene alone awoke so many people to animation and created an entire generation of web-gen's trying to capture the same magic.
