Personal feelings for Fair Tail aside, did this movie bomb or did it do well?

It didn't do very well. Made 53 million yen at the box office and sold just over 1k BDs.

That's ashame. But I could tell by seeing the trailers of this movie. The art style and animation felt like your average everyday Fairy Tail anime episode.

I can't believe this came out the same year as the SAO movie.
