So is the slow motion glass shattering a visual effect done in post, or is it animated by hand? I can't really tell, but I'm leaning towards the former.

I imagine that everything up until it fully shatters was done by hand, though, the shot afterwards looks all hand-drawn, too.

I agree with that, you can see from 0:04 to 0:06 that they used CG, so it's safe to assume that when it fully shatters it's made by computer and the final shot I'd dare to say it's handrawn
