Dougas: how much background animation will Ota-san do?
Ota: Yes
Jesus this guy is awesome wish to see him on dragon ball
The background animation, effects and the sheer power in every cut is SO INSANE that I just can't put it into words... Ota is a monster.
he isnt playing the same game as the rest of us...

well...
1:18 that cut of Kaidou being oblitarated is extremely fun to watch. Ota the legend!!!
Ludicrous sequence, arguably one of the best animated cut from the show.

Akihiro Ota I KNEEL
Ota, I fucking kneel, as well as Ishizuka for his amazing action storyboard and Wada for his AMAZINGLY cinematic compositing.
It sucks this got leaked before release but nonetheless, INCREDIBLE.
Ota animation + ishizuka storyboard is just unfair, my new fave animated scene in the franchise
easily my favorite scene in OP. And wada's comp does so much for it as well. The sequence being on mute makes it a lot better too
WOWWW! ONLY WOW! Ota arrived as expected!

After that scene, I'm starting to wonder about his appearances in sakuga episodes among anime out there!
The amount of space they incorporate into the sequence, beyond impressive!
How is Ota outputting so much insane animation in Wano?! A real master.
It has been years since I came to this page, I had to know who was the monster behind this insanity.
Ota is becoming more and more like Ohira with each new sequence, while still retaining his own unique flair, which is really cool
I have no words to describe the feeling of this sequence ... So much power, style, speed ... Awesome is not enough
Absolute insanity, breathtaking from both Ota and Ishizuka!! Ota is a monster!
you already know its him when he does close up eye shots before an attack
This is genius action storyboarding holy shit

For anyone in the future, this post got a score of 1234 in 24 hours
There's so many very impressive One Piece animated sequences at this point but this one is definitively one of the better ones. I would go as far as, saiying that, imo, if we only count the anime itself (no movies/specials) this is posibly top 3 with Ishizuka in 934 and Sugita's part in 977.
the third 2 thousand for one piece
