The integration between 2D Denji and the fully 3D background in the cut is not exactly well-done, but great sequence either way.
With all the respect to the creater, does this post need a rotoscope tag? i feel like this is rotoscoped. if this isn't, that's incredible but it makes more sense to just rotoscope this scene than to draw it with just some reference

It only be tagged rotoscoped if a scene traces "live action" footage to animate a scene. This scene is not counted as rotoscoped since it only uses CG models for reference and tracking guidelines.

i think they should make a new tag for it since it's getting used more and more often, especially gosso with ousama ranking episode 22 (i think it was 22) and ufotable also implementing more of it. i don't dislike it i just think they should make a tag to seperate rotoscoped 2D from a 3D layout from the normally drawn 2D.

CGI tag currently also serves that purpose. Since tags are supposed to be more objective, I think a dedicated CG L/O tag could get messy because at times it can be quite ambiguous whether the CG had a strong influence on the final scene or not (for example animators like Shingo Fujii). Having the CGI tag also indicates a (seemingly or confirmedly) strong CG presence in otherwise hand-drawn parts is a decent solution for now, and even that is already subjective enough to the point where people have had conflicting opinions about when it should be tagged.
