I love this scene! Nakamura does some top-notch stuff!
This is one of the only times I've seen an animator do "reverse dissolving." It seems like it would be really hard to key, but Yutapon makes it look easy
0:10 Anyone remember nakamura using this move in soul eater mifune vs black star when the screen goes all red?

I assume he just animates it like if the creature dissolves, then he reverses the frames. Maybe he didn't do that, but it seems like the easiest way to pull it off.
I just noticed that this post cracked 200 favorites. Most on the site I'm pretty sure.
Still his greatest ever cut.
The regeneration part is just amazing
does the credit only include Nakamura's name..? I mean on 0:27 the morphing effect just change so much, I just realized when I saw it frame by frame, it was very web gen animation, very digital effect just look like K1RO Morph for me.. I mean Keiichiro Watanabe also did cut https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/116355 and it looks very similar to her style and very similar with what i'm talking.. even tho it's not K1RO but it definitely web gen animation..
