that hair and lip-flap animation tho. FUCKIN. CLEAN
God the slow motion and character acting
I swear, every cut he does is just like, absolutely mesmerizing to watch. Its like watching honey or something...
Since February 1st, Yoshihara has done:
- 3 scenes in Black Clover
- a scene in Wonder Egg
- 3 scenes in Jujutsu

what a madman

terrifying how inhumane this guy is , hope he is taking a well deserved rest
tatsuya yoshihara cuts for JJK,made me a big fan of him
Yoshihara's cuts feel so special, its so clean, fluid and beautilful to look at
The expression on her face at :16 is chilling. Such a cool scene.
I'm pretty new in the animation world, can one of you explain to me why his cuts dosen't look like this in Black Clover ? More in the art department than animation

What do you mean his cut doesn't look like that in Black Clover ?
Some cut does look like that https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/137068

The only time it doesn't is where he probably didn't have more time to work on the cut ...
I thought that Park scene would be the highlight of the episode since it was my favourite Park scene ever in terms of sakuga. Then appears Kouki Fujimoto and said nope, and finally Yoshihara comes in with a "hold my beer". This ep was for sure in the top 5 better produced this year yet imo with OP 957 Boruto 189 and Mushoku Tensei 11.
This hair and clothing animation looks like it was artificially extended by the Twixtor plugin in PP. xD

There's only so much Yoshihara can do. Whatever animation highlights Black Clover manages to have, is thanks to its director Tatsuya Yoshihara (ex). Without him, it would be like other Studio Pierrot shows like Sousei no Onmyouji, TGRE or Kingdom which are pretty much bad for all their episodes due to it's limited core staff. Pierrot's management is very questionable and not much is known about their inner workings, being privately owned it's difficult to get info on them.
looks so smooth, amazing as ever
I cant stop coming back here

So, the directors of photography of both of them (JJK&BC) are even almost on the same technical level in a matter of visual aesthetics, with Jujutsu's one a little behind... because this is their first work as directors of photography, other than that they (JJK&BC) aren't that different.

What really differs from other scenes is the storyboard of it (and of the whole episode 24) which is excellent, and what makes it even better is the timing in 4, 5 and 6 seconds of the frames. Which made that impactful moment even better because of how it moves.

sorry but nothing in this show looks as bad as
the choices in post #138521 and post #147584 (compositing wise), among others. I think its a little more nuanced than saying they aren't that different. Yoshiharas CGI in JJK is just processed better, his Wonder Egg work was the same.

In that post #147584, I agree that it is questionable to use 3D but they have no 3D at all in that post #138521, I think it is talking about the texture of space magic, which I also agree, kind of disharmonious.

I'm not talking about the cgi, im talking about the compositing. It feels like you don't have a clear idea on what this conversation is about. Best to end it here to avoid more comment clogging.

I talked about composition in the first comment I made... and also in the one above when I talked about the disharmonious texture, but feel free to ask skander123 any questions, I'd love it if he was a little more specific, because it seems he's demanding something he doesn't understand.

It wouldn't look that clean, and that's because what the interpolations AI's do is generate new inbeetwens frames by crossing frames that go before and after the new one. That makes the result little consistent and dirty, the closest to a perfect interpolation has only been achieved by using Blur, which is noticeable if you pause.
anyone that knows, does Yoshihara do most the Inbetweening himself or is the buttery smoothness from mostly the Douga artists?

Yoshihara does do douga occasionally but how douga is done is in accordance to a timing sheet (written by the key animator) and spacing charts on the genga itself. These can be further modified by the AD(s) and/or ED but since this is Yoshihara I don't believe this was the case.
