oh god really ? xD

the composition in this episode was pretty good for what we were watching, but I think you're exaggerating
I just don't like the skin tone they use for the monsters same as ep.3 I think
but it's no big deal

Blowing your VFX out of proportions doesn't make it good... JJK compositing is toned-down and just nice enough, unlike Kimetsu no Yaiba's way oversaturated and bland "realistic" compositing that even covers most of the artist's original work at times, not mentioning the occasional shitty CGI and almost non-existent background animation... Then again, I'm biased here as I just dislike Ufotable's compositing in general, I think a better take on that very colorful yet grounded compositing would be KyoAni's especially in Violet Evergarden and Koe no Katachi.

I fully understand and agrees with you
I don't dislike ufotable but for me,they are so far away from havng the best composition, they got some good quirks and alot of shitty ones

I mainly love them for having a consistent level of quality

Thanks fam. Also absolutely, I do love how consistent, faithful and polished their works are especially in an industry where currently most of the shows that come out every season almost always suffer from some kind of production issues.
I just hope for Ufotable to try more unique things and take more risks as time goes on, it is good to strive for variety especially when you have the talent and capabilities for it :)

I think Both studios are good. Both studio's have there own strength and weaknesses. I highly disagree on your take unfotable. Unfotable did an excellent job adapting demon slayer especially when blending in cgi into the background to look natural. I know you biased against the studio and that's fine but give it some credit

No worries mate, I get you and respect what you're coming at. But like I said they are faithful and polished, what more could you ask from an adaptation? In the industry's current climate, that's like godsent...
My only problem stems from Ufotable's overblown distractingly annoying compositing and extreme heavy use of CGI, And I mean unnecessary heavy use, I can understand why they would use CGI for moments like the shifting rooms where they could give a unique and interesting look into it, but in the training arc? Most far-shots and BGCG for literally almost all their scenes?... Like come on man. Almost feels like good background animation is becoming a scarce thing at this point in time...

It is mostly just because of my childhood, but I would love for animation to be taking a step back and go to the older way of going about tackling animation while still taking advantage of currently used tools and the digital medium as a whole... But I guess that would take a lot of passion and patience, two things most committees don't have...
effects animation for this series is godtier
