never realized how much i needed nakamura in pokemon
fastest 5 seconds I've ever seen

why cut it up so much? it was fine before
to highlight the specific artists of each cut. this loops really well so it works out nicely.
A style quite different from his last works and to be honest I think it is much better
why do we have to do this every time he animates literally anything
It looks weirdly sped up, we're used to Nakamura animating thing very fast but even on multiple rewatch without slowing it down it's almost impossible to tell what's going on.

I have to agree with this, I think it could have used few more frames there to ease into Gold throwing his pokeball. In the second cut, the BG is on 3s and the pokeball and effects are on 1s, which was supposed to make it read better but it didn't quite work; you see the background is still moving but way slower and pokeball just zips by, maybe one or two inbetweens could have made it more readable. This is just matter of, easing in and easing out in some places. But then again, it's supposed to be timed with the music video so.
But actually if you play it back at 12 fps everything reads way better.
I guess he should have done this sequence on 2s but then the clip would have been twice as long.
It think the reason why some of you have an harder time to read this cut, is probably because of the artstyle, that simulate the older VHS style (with the colors and all), so it's harder to see clearly the speed.

Nah man, the art style has nothing to do with it. It just goes by a little too quick in some places.
I think he meant the composition and stuff,I'mn't really sure about the terminology thou

-for me,it's the pokeball part,it didn't take its time but again the triumph here is to have so much choreography and details in such few seconds
the mad lad did everything from fx to BG. super crazy
This is my greatest dream come true.
coloring error on Blastoise's chin, it's blue but supposed to be white-ish, the anipoke regular animators make this mistake all the time too lol
This is by far the best animation from japanese music video I have ever seen.
Could it be? Yutapon evolving ? His style couldn't have gone any more wonky so he innovated again.
Btw it looks best in 0.4-0.5 speed, sheesh.
