Ryan Plaisance did the final animation based on mikinori's roughs for the quick cuts of drolta recoiling (0:13 - 0:14), her wing tearing ( 0:19 - 0:19), thigh getting cut (0:21 - 0:21), and neck getting whipped (0:23 - 0:23). I'm tagging him cuz his influence is impactful enough for some of them (the roughs for the first one don't even have Drolta's hair animated, for example).
This entire short was gorgeous. Why is only one clip on here? Well, I kinda get it given how I tried to submit something from a Pokémon movie and got rejected, it’s hard to figure out which part of a short film is good to include when it all looks great. But for real we need more of this short on here. It’s Yuasa’s first ever short film where he had complete control (there were some shorter things he made before this but those were more indie and he had less room to spread his wings than he did in Vampiyan Kids). So what I’m saying is Vampiyan Kids is historically important and beautiful so why is only one clip of it here.
